Tablet App

Overview

TipTap is an app created to help restaurants organize and improve management of everything that has to do with their employees work and salaries.  

Goals

TipTap allows restaurant workers to manage employees' schedules, giving them tools to easily see shifts taken and available. In addition, it makes counting and dividing tips easy, transparent and automatic, preventing mistakes from occurring.

Aghata Waitress

Aghata is a young woman who is working to fund her education. It's very important for her to have a digital record of her exact hours so she can double-check there are no mistakes in her salary or tips.

Tal Manager

Tal has a lots of responsibilities in the restaurant. As the person in charge, he is looking for innovative tools to help him stay organized and in-control of his workers' salaries and hours.

Diego Owner

As the owner, Diego wants to ensure everything in the restaurant is working smoothely, as it should. The most important thing to him is that he is not losing money and that his workers are treated fairly and receive what they deserve.

"On a regular basis I struggle with last minute shift changes and shift swapping. Often, I am not sure who changed with who and what employee is supposed to work when."

"We currently write all hours down by hand in a notebook. This can be very frustrating when it comes to dividing out tips and in the end it's not comfortable or reliable."

"I always know when I start my shift, but when I finish can change day to day. This makes it hard for me to know how much I earn each day and manage my personal budget."
